British champion to make his comeback in Liverpool
Tony Bellew will defend his British light-heavyweight title against Norwich's Danny McIntosh in Liverpool on April 14.
BellewBut he will be looking to impress on his return to the ring against 31-year-old McIntosh, who also lost to then-British and Commonwealth champ Cleverly in 2009.
"I feel I'm at world level now," he said. "Nathan Cleverly is a world-class fighter and in a lot of people's eyes I beat Cleverly, and I showed a lot of good tools that people maybe didn't expect.
"Danny's a good European-level fighter but I feel I'm a world-class fighter."
Promoter Dave Coldwell added: "It's a pleasure to put on a big show like this for Liverpool,
"He has been pushed to the forefront of British boxing after his fight with Nathan Cleverly and is defending his British title against a very dangerous opponent."
McIntosh has solid credentials after picking up the European title 12 months ago only to lose it in his first defence. - http://www1.skysports.com/
