THE LATEST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NEWS – Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is on the move to sharpen his side’s Premier League title defence as he asked new director of football Txiki Begiristain to help him secure Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi’s signature.

De Rossi was included in City’s signing checklist in last summer’s transfer window. Now, the midfielder has expressed interest for a transfer away from the Italian capital club.

City’s Mancini is seeking better chances for his side to win w1th ease over league rivals this season. They have an unbeaten yet lacklustre run that saw them lagging behind top-notch rivals Manchester United and Chelsea on the table.
