FLOYD MAYWEATHER JAILED
Floyd Mayweather Jnr has been sentenced to 90 days imprisonment on domestic violence charges.
The WBC welterweight champion, widely regarded as boxing's best pound-for-pound fighter, pleaded guilty to reduced domestic battery and harassment.
Las Vegas Judge Melissa Saragosa ordered Mayweather to report to jail on January 6, while the 34-year-old must also complete 100 hours' community service and pay a fine of £1,600.
Mayweather struck a plea bargain with prosecutors and will avoid trial on further allegations.
The unbeaten star, who last fought against Victor Ortiz in September, was due to return to the ring in May against an unnamed opponent. - http://www.sportinglife.com
