SHANE MOSLEY HANDED TITLE SHOT

Cash-strapped veteran Shane Mosley has been handed another big pay-day after being matched with WBC light-middleweight champion Saul Alvarez.

Mosley will be giving away almost 20 years to the young tyro when the pair meet on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather v Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand on May 5. The American is winless in three years and was last seen in a ponderous 12-round beating at the hands of Manny Pacquiao, when Mosley looked way past his best. Alvarez, by contrast, remains unbeaten in 40 contests at the age of just 21 and has once again been cutely matched by Golden Boy Promotions - the youngster's last six opponents all being at least 10 years his senior. - http://www.sportinglife.com/
